A common model of IS/IT benefits and IS/IT effectiveness is presented. Stress is put on the recipients of IS/IT benefits e.g. stakeholders, managers, employees and customers. The benefits of IS/IT are classified into financials and nonfinancials and some methodology of conversion intangible into tangible indicators is shown. Then some basic results of field research of IS/IT effectiveness in the Czech enterprises are presented. At the end the principles of successful IS/IT effectiveness management are summarised into decalogue.

V příspěvku je prezentován obecný model užitku a efektivnosti IS/IT. Důraz je kladen na nositele užitku IS/IT (majitele, manažery, zaměstnance a zákazníci) a faktory ovlivňující efektivnost transformace výdajů na IS/IT na přínosy z IS/IT. Přínosy z IS/IT jsou klasifikovány na finanční a nefinanční, “tvrdé” a “měkké” a ukázána možná metodika převodu “měkkých” ukazatelů na “tvrdé”. Dále jsou uvedeny závěry z průzkumu efektivnosti IS/IT v organizacích České republiky. V závěru je uvedeno desatero zásad pro hodnocení efektivnosti IS/IT.
