Checking Your System Requirements

To participate in any of the Oracle University Knowledge Center online course offerings users should meet the minimum system requirements as listed below:

2. Computer specifications
3. Connection speed
4. Browser settings
5. Plug-ins

Platforms and Supported Browsers

Windows 98 Netscape 4.7x, Internet Explorer 5.5, Internet Explorer 6.0

Windows NT 4.0 Netscape 4.7x, Internet Explorer 5.5

Windows 2000 Netscape 4.7x, Internet Explorer 5.5, IE 6.0

Windows XP Netscape 4.7x, Internet Explorer 6.0

Computer Specifications

120 MHz Intel Pentium processor or equivalent (audio only)

64 MB of RAM

16-bit sound card and speakers

65,000-color video display card (video)

1024 x 768 screen resolution for optimal viewing

Connection Speed

28.8 kbps modem or better bandwidth connection to the Internet. (A 56k modem is highly recommended for using streaming media files.)

Browser Settings

JavaScript must be enabled (This is the default setting for both Netscape and Internet Explorer).

Cookies must be enabled (This is the default setting for both Netscape and Internet Explorer).

Plug-Ins

Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 4 or above) required for online workbooks.

RealOne Player/ Real Player 9 or later

Microsoft Windows Media Player version 6.4 or later

Macromedia Authorware Web Player

Interwise Participant Application

Oracle Web Conferencing client
