We are proud and happy to announce you, that the Proceedings of GIS Ostrava 2014 and the Proceedings of GIS Ostrava 2015 have been published by Springer as a part of Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography that are currently indexed in SCOPUS and WoS!

How To Submit Paper - EasyChair Instructions

Papers and posters must be submitted through EasyChair.

Submissions must be pdf files and follow the GIS Ostrava style guidelines. Please use following template in .docx format to produce your paper.

Submissions must include a short abstract (up to 300 words) and up to 5 keywords or phrases. These must be copied into the ‘Abstract’ and ‘Keywords’ boxes in EasyChair.

There are no style guidelines for posters.

Please, do not forget, that you need also to register via our registration system.

All submissions will be double blind peer reviewed by two members of the scientific committee or by external experts. All accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings as a part of Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography Series (Springer) and will be issued after the symposium.

Ethical standards

You are encouraged to read the ethical standards.

Oral presentation

Your presentation should take 15 minutes without discussion. There will be available data projector and PC with MS Office (ppt or pptx) and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Your presentation is going to be recorded on video. If you need to use your own notebook, please inform staff at registration desk. Using your own notebook is permitted only in special cases.

Upload your presentation at the registration desk not later than on the beginning of break before the section where the paper is going to be presented. There will not be CD-ROM, so use USB Flash disk or cloud storage. Wi-Fi internet connection is available in all times and places in conference rooms.

Poster presentation

There are available size A0 boards. You can choose any of them. The boards are numbered, that will be used for poster competition (voted by participants and by programme committee members).
