Mapathon is a map-based encounter-in this case, with OpenStreetMap, a freely accessible and editable map of the world, from which data is also acquired by the Seznam (Mapy.cz) and Google. Missing Maps is a project that aims to focus volunteers' efforts and mapping on the most endangered places in the world (due to epidemics, floods, poverty, etc.). Come and support the work of humanitarian organizations like Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross by helping to map white space on the map. The action is designed for complete beginners as well as advanced users. So far, some 34 000 editors have been involved in the project, which has mapped over 14 million buildings and 1.5 million kilometers of roads.

It is recommended to bring your own notebook, charger, external mouse for the workshop. It is required to register in advance at OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/new). During the workshop, users will be trained to work with the web ID editor and JOSM desktop editor, principles of the mapping itself. During the workshop, there will be discussions on the topics related to OpenStreetMap and the practical usage of created maps.
